Welcome to Mom Finds a Way!

If you’re looking for perfection, this isn’t it.

If you’re looking for a woman building a full life — with kids, work, soil under her nails, and ideas that won’t leave her alone — you’re in the right place.

This is a lifestyle blog.

Not a highlight reel.
Not an aesthetic experiment.
Not productivity theatre.

It’s a record of what works, and occasionally what doesn’t…

What You’ll Find Here

I write in five living categories:

🌿 Living

Running a household with intention instead of chaos, for the most part. Systems that are simple enough to sustain.

🌱 Garden

Seasonal growing in real conditions. No greenhouse (yet!). No curated homestead fantasy. Just learning as we go.

🕯 Rhythms

The small weekly and seasonal anchors that keep life steady.

🥖 Make

From-scratch habits, handmade projects, practical skills that reduce dependency and increase calm.

✍️ Reflections

The thinking behind it all. Essays on motherhood, work, ambition, cultivation, and building something meaningful.

Why “Mom Finds a Way”?

Because she does.

When resources are limited.
When time is tight.
When the system doesn’t bend.
When the wheels inevitably fall off. (Yes, that is my rear driver-side tire in someone’s front yard. Yes, it fell off while I was driving. Yes, I am grateful we were safe, the tire did not injure anyone and YES, I love CAA Roadside Assistance).

Photo taken of the runaway tire from inside a vehicle parked on the side of a country road.

She builds around it.

She simplifies.
She experiments.
She adapts.

This space documents that process.

A Note

This project is separate from my professional wellness work.

Here, I’m documenting the broader life — the household, the garden, the ambition, the learning curve.

If you’re building something too, I hope this reminds you:

You don’t need ideal conditions.
You need direction — and the willingness to try.
